A Night in the Clouds - Graduation Ball 2014
Year 11 students celebrated and commemorated their time at Park High on Thursday 3rd July 2014 dressed to impress, not a top button out of place on the lads and many floor length and fabulous frocks sported by the ladies. A great experience was had, with much energy on the dance floor and a few limousine drop-offs to get that red carpet experience!

UK Record for Double Rocket Car
Yesterday the STEM rocket car club went to Santa Pod to race their cars.
Each car tested had to have 2 runs within an hour with a timing gate recording the speeds, then an average was taken.
We entered cars for single, double and triple rockets and I am very pleased to let you know that one of our double rocket cars has now set the Bloodhound SSC record of 163.68mph.
Bloodhound are currently waiting for accreditation from Guinness World Records, so once that happens our team will hold the UK record for schools for double rocket cars.

Young Musician of Park
On Thursday 1st May, Park High School celebrated the 20th anniversary of the annual “Young Musician of Park” Festival. 10 competitors from Years 7 – 11 took to the stage to compete for the prestigious honour of being awarded the title of Park High’s ‘Young Musician of the Year’. The evening also featured performances from some of Park’s musical groups: the Concert Band, Pop Choir, Uke Group, Chamber Choir and Senior Strings.
We were honoured to welcome BBC Singer and presenter, Rebecca Lodge, as our adjudicator.
The “Young Musician of Park” was awarded to Year 9 violinist Kiyana Patel, for her moving performance of Massanet’s ‘Meditation’.
The runner-up prizes were awarded to Jamini Gorasia for her exciting and virtuosic performance on the Tabla, and ‘Dilly Pro Entertainment’, Park High’s crowd-pleasing and energetic Dhol band.
The evening was a resounding success, showcasing the very best of Park High’s diverse musical talent. A fabulous time was had by all involved.
We look forward to seeing you at “The Young Musician of Park 2015”!
