Barclays Premier League predictions

The Barclays Premier league is the superior division in England, also, one of the most hard-core and famous leagues in the world. It has many great teams and all have a chance of winning the cup.

The favourites to win the league are Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Their stats also show they are now the main contenders to win the league. Betting companies have the current bets for Tottenham to win the league as 2/1 and Leicester as 15/8. The stats are very close between these two teams, with Tottenham’s goal difference 27, which is six goals higher that Leicester City’s 21 goal difference. Leicester have scored 52 goals and conceded 31 goals.  They have kept 10 clean sheets, 77 saves, 1.07 goals conceded per match and 1.79 goals scored per match. They have 60 points in the league currently. Tottenham currently have 55 points, they have scored 51 goals and conceded 24 goals. They score 1.76 goals per match and concede 0.83 goals per match. They have made 69 saves, and kept 9 clean sheets. As it shows here Leicester have the best attack in the league and Tottenham have the best defence but are close to best attack.

The top 6 teams are to either go to the Champions League or Europa League the top 2 are very easy to decide since they are many points ahead of the fifth and sixth places unless they lose at least 4 consecutive matches which would knock them down to seventh if all teams below win. These two teams are Tottenham and Leicester City.  The predicted order of top 6 are  Leicester City at 1st , Tottenham at 2nd , Arsenal at 3rd , Manchester city at 4th , Liverpool at 5th  and Manchester United at

6th. The groupings of battling are Leicester and Tottenham for the title, Arsenal and Manchester City for 3rd place and Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester City (who are fighting two battles) for the Champions league spot. Liverpool have a chance of overtaking Manchester United and then Manchester City as Liverpool have 44 points with a game in hand which they can use to overtake Manchester United with no game in hand and 47 points which will be fairly easy for Liverpool as they have Chelsea at home which they could win as they beat them 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. Then West Ham would probably draw against Watford but they have hard games ahead of them and Liverpool has 2 difficult games against Spurs and Everton.   This would leave Manchester United battling West Ham for the Europa League spots.

The relegation zone contenders are Aston Villa, Norwich, Newcastle and Sunderland. Aston Villa will be definitely relegated as they have 16 points. Sunderland could be saved if they defend their place against Norwich and Newcastle which is only a 1 point gap between all three of the teams. This means the level teams have a chance to get out of the zone.
