Visit to the magnificent castles of north Wales.

  • Departs on 13 July 2018 (Friday morning)
  • Returns on 15 July 2018 (Sunday evening)
  • Includes visits to large and imposing sites such as Beaumaris Castle on Anglesey and Conwy Castle in Arfôn, dramatic ruins like Dinas Brân surrounded by the wild mountains of northern Powys and fun visits to the beautiful seaside towns of Llandudno and the world-famous Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll­gogery­chwyrn­drobwll­llan­tysilio­gogo­goch
  • Six castle sites will be visited in total
  • The purpose of the trip is to develop understanding of key elements of GCSE History unit Castles Form & Function which all students in Y10 will be studying next year. Students will visit the castles and learn about how their design was determined by historic events
  • This trip will assist their learning on castles and may be critical to their success in the GCSE
