Horse Riding

The students worked on Springhill Farm and horse riding centre in the beautiful countryside of the Welsh borders. They learnt how to ride and care for horses.

After settling in to the comfortable bunkhouse and having lunch, students spent the afternoon getting to know the horses and ponies and having an introductory riding lesson in the arena. There was also an opportunity to go cycling, walking or play table tennis before dinner.

The next two days, the students will spent time riding out in the Welsh mountains, investigating the natural beauty of the surrounding area and learning how to use a map and compass to navigate.

Finally, on the Friday all the students went on a ride together around the local area, before returning to the farm for lunch and to catch the coach back home.
