Philosophy & Ethics Students Visit Ethicists Peter & Charlotte Vardy

On Thursday the 5th of February year 12 and 13 Philosophy and Ethics students had a thought provoking day with ethicists Peter and Charlotte Vardy at a conference in central London. They attended a series of dynamic and interesting lectures considering issues such as euthanasia, God and ethics and genetic engineering including the recent germ line bill which was passed as recently as Tuesday (3/2/15). This culminated in a house debate on whether we should pass a bill allowing people ‘the right to die’. A highly stimulating and academically insightful day enjoyed by all.
