On Wednesday 13th January Park High School were proud to host the area final of the Rotary Young Chef Competition. We had 8 schools taking part with 17 students from Year 7 – 10. The standard of work was astounding and every student impressed our 3 judges: Professional Chefs James Harkin, Head Chef at the Alpine Restaurant in Bushey; Terry Farr, Chef and Proprietor of Friends Restaurant in Pinner and Simon Greenfield, Chef at the Institute of Directors in Central London.
We were also lucky enough to be joined by the Mayors of Harrow, Barnet and Brent who praised all of our competitors for their skills and dedication.
Our 2 Park High participants, Rebecca and Nathan did themselves and the school proud with their amazing main courses and desserts and even though they didn’t win they are both heroes to us. Rebecca did have a special mention from the judges for her incredibly professional way of working, so many congratulations to her.
