Park High Teacher Mr Molloy Wins top International Award

One of Mr Molloy’s plays “Every Day I Make Greatness Happen” won this year’s Nick Darke Award, on Saturday the 11th November at an award ceremony which was held at the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts, Falmouth University.

Mr Molloy was amongst 950 international entries, where five plays were shortlisted and judged by a panel of top industry professionals from the world of script and screen including Roger Michell, and  Nina Raine.

The judging panel’s decision was unanimous, with Nick Hern (of Hern Books) remarking that the play had 'convincing and authentic dialogue'.

Mr Molloy has had a string of successes including “The Separation” which premiered in Dublin in 2014, and in London 2015 where it was nominated for an Off West End Theatre Award for 'Best New Play'. His second play, “O Do Not Love Too Long”, was shortlisted for the Liverpool Hope Playwriting Prize 2015 and the Kings Cross Award 2016.

Congratulations Mr Molloy on your award, we are so lucky to have such a successful and passionate teacher here at Park High.
