Park High Year 7 students take part in the “Tycoons in school” project

Tycoon in Schools is a free national enterprise competition, which was founded by Peter Jones CBE, entrepreneur and star of Dragons’ Den, and is run by his charity, the Peter Jones Foundation. The “Tycoons in school” project aimed at students aged 5-18 years, hopes to encourage the UK’s budding entrepreneurs to get involved in business by giving them a start-up loan of between £50 and £1000 to run a business whilst at school or college.

At Park High 5 of our Year 7 students are competing in the project Hannah, Aliza, Arielle, Alexandra and Isabela of ‘British Bites’ who bake and sell homemade “Blissfully sweet treats to eat”.

They are extremely passionate about Baking and their business, they work hard selling their homemade treats to the school every Tuesday and Friday after school. The girls are working exceptionally well together, a real display of great team spirit. They are well on the way to making a healthy profit, so far raising £170. The girls are hoping to reinvest some money back into the business and the remainder will be going to a charity.

Well done girls keep up the good work, and you’ll be young wealthy entrepreneurs in no time.
