A number of Year 10 & 12 students are currently participating in the ‘Young Enterprise’ Programme, which runs through an academic year. Students create and make all the decisions about their enterprise, from deciding on a company name, making a product, producing a business plan, managing their company finances, selling to the public and attending trade fairs etc.
Volunteer Business Advisers offer business knowledge and expertises, to help guide the students in their buisness ventures and The 'Young Enterprise' Programme provides a range of resources to help manage their company. Teams can track their progress using self assessment tools and even compete against other schools in local, regional and national competitions.
The Park High students company Hydrolis did their first pitch "Hydration has arrived" on Tuesday evening in front of other competing schools and leading figures in Harrow, with their idea of a water bottle that monitors your intake. The Young Enterprise Panel were extremely impressed with the Park High student company Hydrolis and the team left the event with a gold award.
The first official trading took place on Saturday 16th December at the Wembley Designer Outlet.
The Hydrolis team are very passionate about their idea and have dedicated almost every lunch and after school to running their company. Watch this space!
We will continue to encourage and support them on their journey to become young entrepreneurs.
Well done Hydrolis on your fabulous product!
