Year 9 football team crowned Harrow Borough Champions

On Monday 23rd April the Year 9 Park High football team were crowned Harrow Borough Champions, defeating Nower Hill 5-0  in the Borough Final.

In the group stages Park had been victorious against Nower Hill, Avanti House as well as drawing 4-4 to Harrow High. Park claimed their spot in the final by beating Hatch End 4-1 in a competitive semi-final.

The final was held at the Earlsmead stadium, home to our local semi-professional football team, Harrow Borough F.C. Our Year 9 team were far from overawed by the occasion and started very confidently.

Park took a 2-0 lead into half time and never looked back in the second half defeating Nower Hill 5-0. The Park High team displayed an accomplished and mature performance. Goals in the cup final came from Nadir, Omar and Dillan.

The team will now face a further challenge to defend the Borough Cup next year and have also qualified to enter the U15 Middlesex Schools County Cup in 2019. Some students may even attempt to represent the Middlesex County Football team.

It has been a fantastic season overall, the Park High Team remain undefeated. Well done to the team on their victory and a successful season. The school is incredibly proud of their fantastic achievements demonstrating great individual skill, knowledge, effort, and of course most importantly team work! Congratulations to every student mentioned below, all making a significant positive contribution to  the team throughout this season.
