PUPILS RAISE CASH FOR MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT
A fantastic achievement by Amogh Deshpande, Anna Fallon and Kunaal Shah from Park High School Sixth Form in Stanmore, who raised a phenomenal amount for Macmillan Cancer Support.
They achieved this by organising a cake and biscuit sale as well as a non uniform day for all the staff and students. With the staff donating either cakes, biscuits or money the students were set for a busy period selling homemade delicious delicacies to all raising £215.54. After this great accomplishment, the students were still not satisfied so they braved a wet, damp morning two days later to collect a pound from each student arriving at school for a non-uniform day which bought the total amount raised up to £1646.54. The students are absolutely delighted with the amount raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and are so pleased with the new skills they have learned in the process.
Carole Heffernan, Local Fundraising Manager from Macmillan Cancer Support, says “Thank you To Amogh, Anna and Kunaal and everyone who contributed to raising this fantastic amount. Every day over 2 people hear the words you have Cancer in Harrow. This will go a long way in providing financial, emotional and practical help.”
