As part of our efforts to increase student participation in learning and the development of leadership skills across the wider curriculum each year group will be organising and involved with a charity event.
Tuesday 17th June will be a non-uniform for Year Eight only and students are asked to contribute a minimum of £1 for this to reinforce their message of support for the year group’s chosen global, national and local charities: Water Aid, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and The Disability Foundation respectively.
In addition, students are in the process of planning a charity fair that will take place in the school hall on Tuesday 17th June. In the charity fair there will be an array of different stalls to engage with using tokens. Students are encouraged to purchase these tickets, which are priced at 20 pence each which their tutors will be selling to students in tutor time from Monday 9th June.
If you have any appropriate prizes or resources, that could be used for the charity fair that you would like to donate, please ask your son/daughter to bring them to their tutor by Friday 13th June. All money raised will be divided between the three following causes chosen by students: Water Aid, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and The Disability Foundation respectively.
I would like to thank you in advance for your support in helping students to make this a successful fundraising day.
