Activity Week runs from Tuesday 19th June to Friday 22nd June. Some activities involve residential trips. Others are more local, involving a series of day activities.
The Activity week form will open on Canvas (in the student room) Monday 26th March at 4pm and will close Wednesday 4th April at 4pm. Extended deadline for students who have not yet completed their form for activity week Monday 23rd April 2018. If your child has already completed the form online they should not complete another form as they may lose their place.
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 are asked to choose three activity packages, in order of preference. We will make every attempt to ensure that students get their first choice option. However, numbers are limited on some activities and places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
7 Trips are already full:
Costs depend, to some extent, on the numbers of students taking up places on each activity and have not yet been finalised, but the prices shown are intended to be a maximum. Final costs will be given once all places have been allocated. All payments are to be made via ParentPay. Parents will be given details of payment deadlines when activity places are confirmed, and students will NOT be able to participate in activities unless full payment has been made.
If your child is continuing to receive Pupil Premium then the school will subsidise the cost of your child’s activities, up to a maximum of £100. This means that if he/she takes part in an activity costing less than £100, it will cost you nothing; if the activity is more expensive you will be asked to pay the difference. Please check with the school if you are unsure that your child is recieving pupil premium before choosing an activity.
You will make your choices, using the Activity Week Choices form on Canvas. When you have completed the form, please print off the last page of the form, get it signed by your parents, and return is to your Tutor by Tuesday 24th April. Your activity choice will not be accepted until the signed form has been received. Parents and students should be aware that poor behaviour could result in permission to participate in some activities being denied.
