COVID-19 Vaccination information

Following the government announcement, the NHS will be rolling out the COVID-19 vaccination programme imminently. We expect that this will be a staggered delivery, meaning that it is likely to be a year group at a time. Once this is confirmed we will share this information with parents, carers and students separately. Please note that the programme will only be available to students aged 12-15 years.

In anticipation of the programme, we have been asked to share information with students and parents to enable them to make an informed decision about their vaccination.

A range of leaflets and FAQs are available from the links below:

Including the ‘What to expect after your Covid-19 vaccination’ leaflet for children aged 12+.

Easy-read guides providing information on Covid-19 vaccination.

Including frequently asked questions about issues such as consent and side effects.

Information from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on how the vaccine was authorised.

The ‘Green Book’ has the latest information on vaccines and vaccination procedures and issues relating to it.

Please note that the school cannot answer any questions or concerns you may have since this programme is being entirely delivered by the NHS.
