  • Cambridge University Trip

On Friday 5th December, a group of Year 11 students from Park High, visited one of the world’s top universities in Cambridge. The day was planned by an ex Park student, Priti Mohandas, who is currently in her third year and is studying Architecture. She did a fantastic job organising a number of activities, a tour of the buildings and she persuaded over 12 undergraduates to talk to Year 11 about the ‘A’ levels they had studied and about the degree they were currently taking. Year 11 were very impressed by the university and they also met Ian Thorp, another ex student who is reading Mathematics and he acknowledged he would not be studying at Cambridge University today, if it wasn’t for the hard work and dedication of his teachers who supported him through the rigorous ‘A’ level courses he studied at Park High.

  • Operation Christmas Child

Year 9 students have donated 51 shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child.

The students filled the shoeboxes with toys, educational items and other gifts, to bring Christmas joy to underprivileged children around the world.

More than 100 million shoeboxes have been given to children up to the age of 14 in over 130 countries since Operation Christmas Child began in 1993. A shoebox gift tells a child in need they are valued and opens up life-changing opportunities for them, their families and communities.
