Geography at Park High School

“Geography is not only up-to-date and relevant, it is one of the most exciting, adventurous and valuable subjects to study today.  So many of the world’s current problems boil down to Geography, and need the geographers of the future to help us to understand them.

You will find geographers working in a wide range of jobs, from the City to planning, working in the environment to travel and tourism, or in international charities and retail.  Studying geography can help people achieve careers that are professionally and financially rewarding and also enjoyable.

Geography illustrates the past, explains the present and prepares us for the future… what could be more important than that” Michael Palin Geographer and member of the Royal Geographical Society.

At Park High we have developed a curriculum that we believe fosters an enquiring mind.  We want our young people to be inquisitive about the world around us; whether that is to question what has created our mountains and rivers, or what causes our weather to behave in the way it does, to critically think about the way in which we impact our planet.
