Para-Olympian Visits School

Park High School PE department ran a change4life champions conference for a number of Harrow Primary schools students funded by the Youth Sport Trust

60 students and 20 staff from 10 Harrow primary schools attended.

The conference taught the students a variety of skills in order to help them go back to their school to promote health and well being and a health active lifestyle. The students learnt how to be creative, lead, plan and network in order to pass on the Change4life message in their school and their local community.

Our special guest for the day was Paralympian Tim Prendergast. Tim represented New Zealand in the Paralympic Games in Athens in 2004 winning the Gold medal in the T13 800m. Tim will be competing in the London Marathon in April.

Primary school staff feedback:

"Students were very excited and motivated"

"The whole day was interesting, fun and motivating"

"The students were talking about the day all the way back to school"
