Did you know the government gives additional funding to schools for those children entitled to free school meals? Schools use this money to obtain additional staff and resources that help improve the quality of education.

Pupil Premium

Pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers. 

Your child may be entitled to additional funding to help you towards the cost of their school meals and some of the costs towards school trips etc. Even if you feel you may not be entitled it is advisable to run a check by registering your details through the following link to make sure.

Free School Meals

We are trying to ensure that any family eligible for free school meals is receiving their entitlement.

If your son/daughter is eligible for free school meals they may also benefit from additional funding throughout the year e.g. subsidised school trips and/or instrument fees.

Check your eligibility 

There is a website where parents and carers can check eligibility for free school meals, it is quick and easy to use, just enter the necessary details, this will give you an immediate ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response, the school will be notified of your application.

Clothing Grant

This is a one off payment to assist with the cost of purchasing school uniform for students. If your child attends Park High School and you would like to apply for a school clothing grant, you will need to contact the Head of Year directly to make an application.
