National Animal Welfare Trust donation

Monday 14th May Park High school's PE department donated the old sports balls to the National Animal welfare trust.

The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) is one of the UK’s top animal welfare charities operating five rehoming centres across the south of England, our closest centre is Watford.

The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) was founded in 1971 as an independent charity, and was originally known as Animal Welfare Trust (the word national was added in 1996 as part of our 25th Anniversary celebrations). The charity now cares for and rehomes around 1200 animals a year and is active in all the local communities in which it serves.

The most recent development at the Trust has been the opening of additional four charity shops over the past 18 months. NAWT now has shops in Watford, Falmouth, Hayle and Clacton to help further promote our work and raise funds.

Over the years NAWT has had active supporters groups across the country. Whilst the numbers have waxed and waned, the focus of these groups has been on undertaking local animal rescue and welfare work, and on fundraising to support the work of the Trust.

There are lots of ways to help the National Animal welfare trust, you could donate money, treat an Animal or Donate items such as blankets, towels, bed sheets, newspapers, pet food and treats or animal toys. To find out more about how you can help support the Animal welfare trust click here.

A big thank you to Miss Achemapong who is well known for her love of dogs for organising the donation and to the PE department for the items donated. We hope the animals at our local centre enjoy the sports balls we donated and hope they find their forever homes soon.
