Black History Month

Year 9 students recently celebrated Black History month by taking part in a wide scale of interesting and interactive experiences.

Workshops took place most of the school day and the year 9's were involved in a range of activities, ranging from traditional African drumming, Historical African Kingdom sessions, Creative writing, Dance and Contemporary African Art.

Year 9's were positively engaged throughout the day and explored the culture and traditions behind Black History.

During the reflective assembly presentation, which closed the special day, selected & nominated students were given the opportunity to perform their new learnt skills, in which they excelled. The audience were full of applause and praise for their peers!
