Park High School Awarded the National Quality in Careers Standard

We are delighted to announce that Park High has once again been awarded the prestigious Quality in Careers Standard, the national quality award for excellence in careers education, information, advice, and guidance. This award recognises our commitment to preparing all students for life beyond school – equipping them with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to make informed decisions about their future education, training, and employment.

The Quality in Careers Standard is the single national quality award recommended by the Department for Education in its 2025 updated Statutory Guidance. It is fully aligned with the latest Gatsby Benchmarks for Good Career Guidance and involves a rigorous external assessment carried out by experienced careers professionals.

To achieve this award, our school demonstrated that we meet national accreditation criteria in four key areas:

  • Careers Education

  • Careers Information

  • Careers Advice

  • Careers Guidance

The assessment looked at the impact of our careers programme, the integration of careers across the curriculum, the use of external partnerships, and how well we support all students – including those with additional needs – to explore their aspirations and plan for the future.

"We are extremely proud to have achieved the Quality in Careers Standard. This recognition highlights the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the strong partnerships we’ve built with employers, training providers, and further and higher education institutions." - Headteacher, Mrs O'Dwyer.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this success – particularly our careers team, students, parents, and the local community. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our careers provision and inspiring the next generation to aim high and achieve their goals.
