Equalities

Equality statement

At Park High School, we are dedicated to promoting a fair and inclusive environment where every individual can thrive by embracing the unique contributions that they bring. Grounded in our core character virtues of Resilience, Integrity, Curiosity, Teamwork, and Compassion, we prioritise creating a safe and respectful space for both our staff and students, unequivocally rejecting any form of inequality.

Recognising our central role within the local community, we understand the nature of its multicultural, multi-faith composition. In accordance with the Education and Inspections Act 2006, we embrace our duty to promote community cohesion, recognising the importance of fostering unity and collaboration. Upholding tolerance and respect is paramount in ensuring that all members of our school community feel valued and included, free from any form of intimidation or radicalisation.

Embracing our obligations under the Equality Act 2010, we are committed to eliminating discrimination, advancing equality of opportunity, and fostering positive relations across all characteristics. Our equality objectives address specific inequalities and actively work to reduce or eradicate them.

In line with these principles, we oppose all forms of discrimination based on protected characteristics. Furthermore, we are dedicated to instilling both British Values and the Park High School Character virtues in our students. Our aim is for every student to leave Park High School as open-minded individuals who contribute positively to society as responsible citizens.

For further information on our policies and procedures, please refer to the Policies and Procedures Information section. Our measurable equality objectives can be found within our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

We review our Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) annually.
