Park High Students look to exciting futures after A Level success

A Level students at Park High School, Stanmore, are celebrating another year of very strong results in their exams, with 65% achieving grades A*-C, securing places at a range of leading universities. Today is the culmination of an enormous amount of hard work and commitment, and huge credit goes to everybody involved.
Highlights from this year’s results include outstanding value-added grades for English Literature and Art and Design, with 100% of students earning grades A*-C. Sociology, Photography, Drama, Computer Science, DT and Business Studies students also stand as top achievers.
We celebrate our highest achieving students who include Dylan P, Ahmed I, Janvi V, Ahmed Al-A and Ruth D as well as those who have made exceptional progress since GCSEs. These include: Devan V, Hriansh D, Samiullah Y, Dhruv H, Mohamad A and Batul Al-R.
A number of students will be going to Russell Group universities and have chosen courses including Sustainable Innovation at Warwick, Business and Health at UCL and Chemistry at York. Almost 10% of our students have chosen Queen Mary’s University to study a range of challenging courses. We are delighted to recognise these achievements and celebrate that the vast majority of students will be attending university with others considering apprenticeships or the world of work.
Preparing students for life beyond school is a key priority at Park High. Each year, the Sixth Form ‘Futures Week’ introduces students to the wide range of post-18 pathways. Professionals working in Finance, Law, Psychology, Medicine and more share insights from their own career journeys, while workshops explore university life, apprenticeships and alternative routes into employment.
Colette O’Dwyer, Park High Headteacher: “Today is a moment to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students, and I could not be prouder of everything they have accomplished. Our students have shown determination and commitment, and their results are a testament to the dedication of our staff who have supported them throughout their journey with us. Whether our students are progressing to university, apprenticeships or exciting careers, I wish them every success for the future. I know they will continue to achieve great things while reflecting the values and spirit of Park High.”
In 2025, Ofsted rated Park High School as ‘Good’ in all areas, with the report noting the school’s successful record of students completing university degrees. In recent years, Park High alumni have gone on to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, Medicine at Kings College, Engineering at UCL, Management at Warwick and Law at Durham, while others have secured prestigious degree apprenticeships with top companies, including KPMG.
