Park High students celebrate another strong set of GCSE results

Congratulations to all our Year 11 students that are celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results today, with this year’s cohort building on the school’s recent success and continuing its strong upward trajectory.

Highlights of today’s results include:

  • A fantastic 64.9% of students achieved standard passes (grades 9-4) in both English and mathematics, with half of the entire cohort securing strong passes (grades 9-5) in these important subjects.
  • Over a fifth of all students achieved the top grades (9-7) in both English and mathematics.
  • Our English department saw exceptional results, with over three-quarters of the cohort achieving a Standard Pass (9-4) in English Language (76.9%) and English Literature (79.4%).

Students should be especially proud of their achievements across a diverse range of subjects, with many departments recording particularly strong outcomes. In the Separate Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and Further Mathematics, 100% of students achieved a Standard Pass (grade 4 or above). The school also saw tremendous success across creative, technical, and humanities subjects, with the vast majority of students securing standard passes in Photography (81.8%), Religious Studies (79.2%), Music (75.0%), Computer Science (74.1%), and Media Studies (71.4%).

Colette O’Dwyer, Headteacher said: “I am delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students, whose determination and commitment have been rewarded with this fantastic set of results. Their success reflects not only their own hard work and resilience, but also the dedication of our staff and the invaluable encouragement of their families. It has been a privilege to see them grow in confidence throughout their time at Park High and today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Whether they are continuing their studies with us in our Sixth Form or pursuing other opportunities, I wish every one of them the very best for the future.”

These results reflect the school’s continued focus on high expectations, high-quality teaching and a broad curriculum that enables students to thrive and discover their passions.

Several students achieved truly exceptional individual results, demonstrating the talent, determination and commitment that characterise this year's cohort. Among them are:

  • Rithik - 9 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s
  • Keshav - 9 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 7s
  • Harini - 7 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8 and 1 Grade 6
  • Harsh - 8 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7

  • Ammara - 5 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7

We are delighted that so many students receiving their results today are choosing to continue their studies in our expanding Sixth Form. They will join a thriving community that has enjoyed another successful year of A Level results, with 65% of students achieving grades A*-C.

These excellent GCSE outcomes are further evidence of Park High School's sustained success and commitment to ensuring every student fulfils their potential. Following its 2024 Ofsted judgement of 'Good' in all areas, the school continues to go from strength to strength, combining academic excellence with a supportive and ambitious learning environment. Today's results are a testament to the hard work of students, staff and families, and provide strong foundations for future success.
