Consultation on the Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Policy

At Park High, we are committed to providing a high-quality education that supports not only academic achievement but also the personal development, wellbeing, and safety of every student. As part of this commitment, we are reviewing our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Policy and would like to invite parents and carers to take part in the consultation process.

Relationships and Sex Education plays a vital role in helping young people develop the knowledge, understanding, and skills they need to lead safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Effective RSE enables students to:

  • Develop positive and respectful relationships with others.

  • Understand the importance of consent, boundaries, and mutual respect.

  • Recognise healthy and unhealthy relationships.

  • Stay safe both online and offline.

  • Promote physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

  • Build resilience, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

  • Understand diversity and develop respect for different individuals, families, and communities.

  • Make informed and responsible decisions about their health and personal relationships.

We believe that schools and families work most effectively in partnership, and we highly value the views of parents and carers. Your feedback will help ensure that our RSE curriculum reflects the needs of our students and community while meeting statutory requirements.

The current RSE Policy can be accessed via Park High School - Policies & Procedures. I have also attached a summary of the policy for your convenience. We invite you to review the policy and share your comments and suggestions through this form.

Consultation Period Closes: 8th August 9am

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the policy or the RSE curriculum, please contact the school at info@parkhighstanmore.org.uk.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute to this important process. By working together, we can ensure that our young people receive the knowledge and support they need to thrive, keep themselves safe, and make positive choices throughout their lives.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Pearcy
