Park High Crowned Robotics Champions at LEGO’s Coding Success LIVE!

Park High School students were crowned Champions 2025 at the Coding Success LIVE event, held at LEGOLAND Windsor in partnership with RAF, Raising Robots, and LEGO Education.

As one of only ten UK schools invited to take part in this exciting STEM competition, our students rose to the challenge with enthusiasm, creativity, and exceptional teamwork. The event formed part of the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, a global STEM initiative designed for students aged 9–16. The programme encourages young people to tackle real-world problems through coding, engineering, and innovation.

Throughout the day, students demonstrated their problem-solving and engineering skills in a series of hands-on tasks. One of the key highlights was the ‘Rope Rescue’ challenge, where teams were required to programme and navigate a robot rescue vehicle to a specific location, to rescue a LEGO mini figure.

The determination, technical skill, and teamwork shown by our students were evident as they confidently manoeuvred their robot and completed each challenge with precision. Their performance was the result of months of dedicated preparation, during which they worked tirelessly to design, build, and programme robots that embodied both innovation and creativity. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part – you were truly outstanding.

We would also like to thank Mrs Kerai and Mrs Rajaram, who organised the trip and supported the students throughout the day. Your dedication and encouragement played a vital role in making this experience a success.

Mrs Rajaram, Head of Engineering, said, “Today has brought out the very best in my students!” as she watched and admired how well the Park High Robotics team applied themselves to each challenge throughout the day, working independently and with enthusiasm.

Mrs. Kerai, Head of Design and Technology, said “Robotics at Park High School has gone from strength to strength over the past decade, as we continue to nurture and develop teams of young people who truly shine.  This year’s Robotics team has once again demonstrated the values that define Park High School—teamwork, resilience, and integrity throughout the entire process. I’m incredibly impressed by the time, dedication, and passion they’ve invested in the D&T department’s Robotics team.”

Over the past decade, the Robotics program has evolved into a thriving hub of creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence, empowering students to explore the exciting world of robotics and engineering.

The Robotics program not only equips students with technical skills but also fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership—preparing them for future careers in STEM and beyond.
