The day kicked off early, with students gathering in their tutor rooms for registration before athletes competing in the 100m and relay races met outside the Sports Hall. Each tutor groups proudly sent four boys and four girls to represent them. The field was buzzing with energy as the 100m heats began.

At 9:30am, the rest of the year group joined them in the field and settled by the track to cheer on the sprinters. The 100m finals were held, followed swiftly by the relays – always a crowd favourite.

Then, the field came alive with long-distance runners, javelin throwers, shot-putters, and in the sports hall the high jumpers. One boy and one girl from each group tackled these challenging events while the rest took on the tutor group's "lap of the park challenge," a true test of team spirit and endurance.

After a much-needed break, the day shifted from individual athletics to team sports. Periods 3 - 5 saw the park, playground, and Sports Hall transformed into courts and fields for volleyball, netball/basketball, and rounders. Each tutor group split into multiple mixed teams, ensuring maximum participation and fun throughout the day.

The grand finale took place at 2:45pm, with all students escorted to the main hall for the much-anticipated Winner Presentation. Cheers erupted as students celebrated the victories, hard work, and teamwork displayed throughout the day.

Congratulations to all who took part in the day – it was not easy in the heat, but you all competed valiantly. A huge well done to the PE Department for organising and running all four sports days – your hard work and dedication made the week a great success!
