Sport
Our experienced PE team, who have a variety of specialisms, run an extensive programme of sport at Park High School.
Our sports programme offers training and coaching before school, at break / lunch and after school Monday to Friday. We have a proud tradition of success across many sports such as football, netball, basketball, cricket, volleyball, athletics, badminton and table tennis and regularly field both 'A' and 'B' teams in the various Harrow Borough schools competitions. Our calendar includes opportunities to play friendlies, as well as being packed with competitive fixtures. Our teams who are successful in a particular sport at borough level, go on to compete in prestigious competitions run by National Governing Bodies.
Students enjoy the use of Park High School's outstanding sports facilities, including our private sports ground with an 11-a-side football pitch and cricket pitch. Our sports hall boasts four-lane indoor cricket nets, an electronic scoreboard and three trampolines. It also has markings for full-sized basketball and netball courts, two volleyball courts and four badminton courts. We have two outdoor netball courts, two outdoor basketball courts, additional indoor and outdoor spaces permanently set up for table tennis and a separate gymnastics teaching space.
We encourage students to strive for excellence and to achieve sporting success, whilst recognising that many will simply enjoy participating. We see our students developing their character through sport; building confidence, resilience and teamwork skills. By actively promoting sport and its benefits to our students, we also see it's positive effects transcend into our school community.
Sport is highly valued, and plays a central role, in life at Park High School.
