School Building Improvement

Many of you will know that the school buildings are being improved. During Tomorrow’s Engineers Week we caught up with our helpful Site Manager, Mark Fuller, to find out a bit more. Mark has lots of experience creating, improving and maintaining the structural integrity of buildings and his expertise is being put to good use at Park. Our improvements include new roofs which have been engineered to ensure that water runs efficiently into a new guttering system to prevent any future floods (which the D&T department are very glad about): Repairing the structure of the parapet walls which involved a structural engineer: Plus, the replacement of 240 crittal windows with new double glazed versions which will cut down on our energy consumption making us a more eco-friendly school. Thank you Mark.
