Red Nose Day

Please read more about our Afternoon Tea Party for Red Nose Day...

On Tuesday afternoon 52 Year Eleven students hosted Afternoon Tea for their teachers and fellow students.  The event was held in aid of charity with all proceeds going to Comic Relief.  Over their four years at Park High School the year group have raised money for Cancer Research, Make a Wish Foundation and The Anti-Bullying alliance through non-uniform days and charity fairs.  This year the focus was on giving something back to the community which has looked after and educated them whilst also doing something for charity.   Over 70 members of staff and students from all year groups bought a ticket for the event which raised in the region of £300 after the costs of running the event were deducted. Several members of staff commented that it was nice to sit down and have a chat over a cup of tea –“ not something we ever normally get a chance to do.”   Charity work is an intrinsic part of our school’s aim to develop leadership skills and a sense of citizenship amongst our students in preparation for adult and working life.
