Fashion and cosmetics are usually extremely over-priced. In today’s ‘Fashion at Your Doorstep’ prices from Boots, Claires and Poundland will be downsized from as high as £25.00 to as little as £1.00
Some of the most expensive brands consist of: Seventeen, Maybelline, Sally Hanson, Maxfactor, Rimmel, EOS, No7 etc. All of these brands and more are priced much higher in the leading drugstores, such as: Boots and Superdrug. Most of these products can be found in Poundland but at a much lower price. In Boots, there is whole department dedicated to hair and beauty, with expensive but good quality products. Whereas, in Poundland there is only a small area in which you can find cosmetic items. Surprisingly, there are some brands like: Rimmel and Sally Hanson. On the other hand, everything that supplies is of its own make; this is cheaper for the shop itself but the customers. Although it is the ultimate place to shop for beauty products it doesn’t compare to the high price you have to pay.
This season, pearls are back in and short skirts are out. Contouring is all the rage at the moment from celebrities to youtubers, ever since the Disney movie Maleficent was released; cheek bones have suddenly been the focus point of every woman’s makeup. Instead of slick back hair, messy buns and top knots are becoming more and more popular. Some of the celebrities following the trends are: Zoe Sugg, Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, Cheryl Fernandez Versini and many more.
When it comes to comparing prices, you have to look for many details, like: quality, quantity and the price. In Poundland, everything is one pound, even the most popular brands. The same brands are in Boots and Superdrug but with an extreme difference in price. Although the price is very different, the quality and quantity is by far better than Poundland as there is a lot more choice and a better and bigger range of colours.
